I am so into Fantasy Football this year! It was my bright idea to start an all girls Fantasy Football League. A League of Our Own is comprised of 6 teams so we all have pretty decent teams with some of the top players in the NFL this year, however I just earned my 1st win and I am beyond excited! That’s right Team Shuddles took down slaughtered defeated GotYards by 8.1 points with the season openers and is doing its thing but I’m still only ranked #3 in my league. Some of my players really let me down this week, Matt Forte & Kurt Warner, but over all we were still victorious. It’s time for me to put on my game face and move up the ranks. I never thought I’d be the one checking players stats, strategizing, and holding my breath when I’m listening to the highlights of the games I’ve missed. It’s Fall & it’s Football season, I’m loving it ;-) There’s nothing like putting together a get together at a sports bar to watch the game, have a drink, and shoot the breeze! Now I have a genuine interested in what’s on the TV screen, for those of you who know nothing about Fantasy Football or for any other newbie like me check out Fantasy Football For Dummies to Get it the Game ;-) Week 1 is done and gone; I’ll have to let you know if Deuces Wild brings it in week 2. Until then I’ll be preparing for the next round, Ciao.

This was something that was sent to me and I thought I’d share!

Things I believe

A Birth Certificate shows that we were born

A Death Certificate shows that we died

Pictures show that we lived!

Have a seat . . . Relax . . . And read this slowly.

I Believe…
That just because two people argue, it doesn’t mean they don’t love each other.
And just because they don’t argue, it doesn’t mean they do love each other.

I Believe…
That we don’t have to change friends if we understand that friends change.

I Believe….
That no matter how good a friend is, they’re going to hurt you every once in a while and you must forgive them for that.

I Believe…
That true friendship continues to grow, even over the longest distance. Same goes for true love.

I Believe…
That you can do something in an instant that will give you heartache for life.

I Believe…
That you should always leave loved ones with loving words. It may be the last time you see them.

I Believe…
That you can keep going long after you think you can’t.

I Believe…
That we are responsible for what we do, no matter how we feel.

I Believe…
That either you control your attitude or it controls you.

I Believe…
That money is a lousy way of keeping score.

I Believe…
That my best friend and I can do anything ~ or nothing ~ and have the best time.

I Believe…
That sometimes the people you expect to kick you when you’re down will be the ones to help you get back up.

I Believe…
That sometimes when I’m angry, I have the right to be angry, but that doesn’t give me the right to be cruel.

I Believe…
That it isn’t always enough to be forgiven by others; sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.

I Believe…
That no matter how bad your heart is broken; the world doesn’t stop for your grief.

I Believe…
That our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are, but we are responsible for who we become.

I Believe…
Two people can look at the exact same thing and see something totally different.

I Believe…
That credentials on the wall do not make you a decent human being.

I Believe….
That the people you care about most in life are taken from you too soon.

I’ve never been a heavy drinker, a glass of wine here or maybe a cocktail that’s more juice than liquor. This summer I’ve really become more of a social drinker and my drink of choice has become a Peach Martini. I’ve had some pretty good ones, so I’ve decide to share this with you!

ptini

What You’ll Need:
1. 2.5 oz. citrus-flavored vodka
2. 1 tbsp. peach schnapps
3. A splash of cranberry juice
4. Ice
5. Shaker
6. Cocktail glass
7. Orange twist

How you mix it:
Step 1: Combine 2.5 oz. of vodka, 1 tbsp. peach schnapps and a splash of cranberry juice.
Step 2: Place in a shaker with ice.
Step 3: Shake or stir the shaker.
Step 4: Slowly drain the shaker into a chilled cocktail glass.
Step 5: Serve with an orange twist.

I’m no bar tender but I may have to try making these the next time I have a get together. What are some of your favorite cocktails? I’d love to add them to my must try list ;-)

This monochromatic look is from Calvin Klien’s Fall 2009 Runway Show. I must admit this is a very daper look! Sometimes sticking to one shade of a neutral color really makes a nice statement ;-)

New TNT Drama Series: Dark Blue

I don’t know if you all are into cop shows, but I truly am. Dark Blue is a new series, produced by Jerry Bruckheimer (CSI etc.) that goes deep into the lives of 4 undercover cops. Every show there is a new case that has to be cracked, and these undercover cops put their lives on the line every week. Surprisingly, after watching all episodes since the premiere, I have not gotten bored with the constant order of what happens…new case, go undercover, almost die, solve the case…that’s really the jist of it, but the action, drama, and mystery leaves me wanting more week after week. Another thing that leaves me tuned in is the married hunk of a man, Ty Curtis…watch it, you’ll see why! :-) If you have not tuned in, you can catch Dark Blue Wednesday nights @ 10pm EST/9pm CST on TNT. Yep, they do know drama.

A Few Of Their Shoes

www.shoedazzle.com

Ok so Kim Kardashian tweeted about ShoeDazzle this morning. Being the shoe fanatic that I am I had to see what it was all about! ShoeDazzle is a monthly membership society. Right, a society for shoe lovers just like me ;-) Apparently every month, for just $39, you will receive an extraordinary pair of shoes. The shoes are handpicked for you by fashion experts. There is no obligation to purchase shoes once you register, and you are charged only after you choose your first pair of shoes. In any month, you may select the “Skip This Month” button in your account section between the 1st and 5th of the month and you will not be charged.

Here’s How It Works:
1. Take fashion survey
Their stylists will be able to choose shoes for you based on your survey results.
2. Register
Enter your information to become a member, including shipping and billing information. Your credit card will not be charged until you choose your first pair of shoes, at which point you will become a member of the ShoeDazzle Society.
3. Our stylists choose shoes for you
Once you complete the survey and register, you will be provided with a choice of 5 shoes to choose from that are based on your individuality and fashion preferences.
4. Choose your shoes
You will be notified via email when their stylists are finished choosing the shoes to present to you. Simply log back into ShoeDazzle to choose the shoes you want.
5. Become a Society Member
After you order your first pair of shoes, you become a ShoeDazzle Society Member. Each month after you become a member, our stylists will provide you with a choice of 5 new and exciting shoe choices based on your preferences.
6. Monthly Society
ShoeDazzle is a monthly membership society. You will be charged $39 on the 6th day of each month, which covers one pair of shoes that month and our stylists’ efforts in choosing shoes for you. They understand that not everyone wants a new pair of shoes every month. If you’d like to skip a month, simply log in to your account by the 5th day of the month and click the “Skip This Month” button and your membership will be paused without cost for that month. The “Skip This Month” button is only available from the 1st through the 5th day of each month. Of course, you are always welcome to return to your showroom and purchase a shoe after you’ve skipped the month. If you haven’t purchased shoes from ShoeDazzle before, your credit card will not be charged and you do not need to request to skip a month.
